Professional Development Mosaic Retreat in New Orleans: Best Practices for the Business of Project Creation

Developed by Teaching Artist Laurel True, this unique retreat is designed to offer professional development students an opportunity to come to True Mosaics Studio in New Orleans for an intensive (and fun) training in several key professional arenas.  Retreat programming includes the following three workshops:  Global Mosaic Project Facilitator Training, (community mosaic project facilitation), Mosaic Mural Making Intensive (professional, precision mosaic mural making and installation), and The Business of Mosaics (aligning personal, creative and professional goals)

These three classes also encompass the information True delivers in her Architectural Applications for Mosaic workshop.  The retreat is chocked full of valuable information including, seminar-style presentations, lecture, demonstration and lots of hands on experience, including the creation of two murals, one in the studio, which will be installed in a permanent location, and one community project which will be created outside.

This trifecta of classes will get those moving into the professional realm of large-scale and architectural mosaic-making set up with LOADS of tools for the "toolbox", methods, pedagogy and technical information.

There is nothing this complete betting offered in a condensed amount of time that we know of. A very unique opportunity.

And New Orleans is gorgeous in October. One of the very best months to visit this inspiring city!
