In this 8-week course we're going to look at creativity through the lens of both earth-based traditions and cosmology; investigating various earthly, existential, and cosmological perspectives - and investigating how these inspire creativity.

In Cosmology and Creation we’ll explore aspects of deep time and creative cycles, and how these may affect our own creative process and practice.

We’ll look at creation through the lens of myth, magic, and science. We’ll tap into the superconscious, subconscious and nature-based inspirations, looking at stories and folklore, geological art forms, and art practices that explore and reflect cosmology and creation. This course will be a fun ride through multiple universes with plenty of inspiration coming from various cultural perspectives, creation myths, contemporary art, and our very own earth.

The course includes a private online community space for cohort members to communicate outside of weekly sessions, and a safe space to explore and discuss topics. We’ll see what bubbles up! As in all my Conscious Creativity courses, I’ll offer deeper-dive resources at the end of each class session.

Course format: I’ll give a presentation every other week, after which I’ll offer an accessible, creative prompt that ties in with a specific subject. On alternate weeks we’ll have a share session + discussion + a mini prompt.

All course sessions will be recorded and available to watch later through our class portal.

The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself. ― Carl Sagan
