Timepiece: Destiny, Gravity and Lotus Eating, Laurel True 2015
Stained glass, mirror, salvaged window glass
I recently showed a new sculpture, Timepiece: Destiny, Gravity and Lotus Eating, in a temporary exhibit on the pond at A Studio in the Woods in New Orleans, where I did an Artist Residency in 2014. This series of work explores our relationship to time through the use of natural elements and detritus found in the urban landscape, focusing on the essential importance of the elements - on a personal and global scale.
Timepiece and other work in this series will be exhibited on various bodies of water in temporary exhibitions.
